StandUp Awareness Week

This is Stand Up Awareness week (16th - 20th November). It’s an event organised by BeLonGTo. Stand-up awareness week is a time for second-level schools, youth services, and Youthreach in Ireland to join together and take a stand against homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying. The week is an opportunity to take steps to make spaces safe and supportive for LGBTI+ young people.

Head Girl Lucy and Head Boy Eoin raised the flag on Monday to mark the start of the week in school.

There was a table quiz on Thursday afternopon from 4pm to 5pm as part of the week's activities.

Friday marked our final event for Stand-Up Awareness week. Students and staff stood side by side in Rainbow colours to bring the weeks #standup21 events to a close. A huge thanks to all who took part in our PRIDE display for #StandUpWeek. The generosity and kindness towards the LGBTQI+ community is greatly appreciated!
